Student Factory Dijon

Student Factory Dijon is a contemporary student residence that brings together architectural restraint, material longevity and sustainable design.

Designed by A2A Architectes (Dijon), the building is defined by a calm, rhythmic façade and a soft gradient of neutral mineral tones, transitioning from light to warm earth hues. The gradient of glazed concrete binds the building’s volumes together, creating a clear and strong identity for the residence while softening its scale within the urban context.

The facade is finished with KEIM Concretal Lasur, carefully applied by Sofaper Sarl. Selected for their natural composition, breathability and durability, KEIM Concretal Lasur supports long-term performance while delivering colour depth that remains stable over time. The result is a facade that is both refined and resilient.

Sustainability is embedded throughout the project. Student Factory Dijon is RT 2012 – NF Habitat certified (CERQUAL), reflecting its energy efficiency and environmental performance. The use of mineral-based finishes and high-quality concrete supports longevity, reduces lifecycle impacts, and aligns with broader environmental goals, demonstrating how thoughtful material choices can reduce a building’s carbon footprint while maintaining design excellence.

A thoughtful collaboration between architect, applicator and material specialist, Student Factory Dijon demonstrates how mineral technology can quietly elevate contemporary architecture—balancing aesthetics, environmental responsibility and longevity.
